Recently, I have joined Bookcrossing. Most people have heard of it by now. If you have not, I will explain the principle. It is simple. You read books you like or dislike. If you do not have any use for them anymore, you can let others enjoy them. You register at the Bookcrossing website and print out the labels to stick on the book. Then you leave your book at a place of your choice.
It is quite exiting to wait for your book to be found. If so, the person who found it can register it on the site. Some books have made amazing journeys around the globe. So free your books and let them embark on extensive travelling!
bookcrossing
n. the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. (added to the Concise Oxford English Dictionary in August 2004)
