Bookish films

Because of a comment that was made about the film “84. Charing Cross Road” recently, I started to wonder about ‘bookish’ films. By this, I do not mean books that have become a movie. There are some films that are about books, writers, libraries or reading. And yes, some of them are based on book. Like 84. Charing Cross Road. (A nice link for the fans.)

I have tried to find as much movies I could. The best one of all times must be “Dead poets society”. I have all the books mentioned in the film. Another movie I liked a lot was Sylvia, about the life of Sylvia Plath. I will sum up other movies I found below. If you click on them, you will be redirected to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) for more information. If you know them, or know of one I have not mentioned, do not hesitate to post it in the comments!
